The Logo

Not to be confused with the Rod of Asclepius (Greek god of healing),

the LAURA FLOOK logo is a personalized tribute to the caduceus; a herald’s staff carried by Greek god Hermes and his Roman counterpart, Mercury.

Hermes was the middleman between earthlings and the divine, an escort of souls to the underworld and deliverer of dreams to mortals .

The entwined serpents of the traditional caduceus are believed by many to represent the opposition of life and death.

With its power to revive the dead and settle disputes, the caduceus remains a powerful symbol of peace and immortality.

Designed by Brian Williams, Flook's initial-emblazoned emblem expands on the original elements with scissors, needle, and thread; additionally paying tribute to the arts (visual, sartorial and medical).
