This is the first of what will likely be quite a few, as I have accumulated a quantity of similar accounts, I simply cannot compile and compose them all in one week.
By the way, for those interested- the name ‘Flook’ rhymes with the word ‘book’, not ‘puke’. Germanic in origin and originally spelled F-L-U-C-K, the considerate moralists at Ellis Island re-worked the lettering, so it no longer resembles the word ‘FUCK’ on paper.
Featured Friend in Flook : Karla Murray
(in her LF Embalming Instrument leggings)
Photographed by her husband, James (during one of their many video shoots, surveying pandemic-plagued Manhattan in lockdown, earlier this year) and pictured with rescue darling, Hudson.
Having lived just a few building doors apart, Karla is one of my former New York City streetmates. Karla and her husband are a team of internationally-celebrated photographers and multi-media artists. Amongst their myriad triumphs, they are possibly best known for their first of several critically-acclaimed books ’Store Front: The Disappearing Face of New York’ and their large-scale ‘Mom-and-Pops of the L.E.S.” public art installation.
For an ever-growing abundance of New York City culture, nostalgia, individuality and inspiration, below are several links for further exploration.
These are drop-dead gorgeous leggings! The print is just as shown with various embalming instruments continuing around both legs and body. The material was super soft and comfortable and the fit was exactly as described. I got a size small and even though I am tall 5'9" the legs were definitely long enough and had the perfect amount of stretch. I highly recommend these! 5 stars for sure, especially if you are interested in wearing something that is eye-catching.
Thinking about purchasing a pair of this sharp-looking legwear for yourself?
